Yarra Valley Grammar recognised for outstanding VCE results

Yarra Valley Grammar has been named The Age’s 2024 Schools that Excel winner for non-government schools in Melbourne’s east for achieving outstanding advancement over the last decade in VCE results.

In 2022 and 2023 Yarra Valley Grammar achieved a median VCE study score of 35, which is five points higher than the statewide median, with nearly 50 per cent of students achieving an ATAR over 90 in 2023.

VCE results in 2023 were amongst the strongest in the history of VCE at the school.

Yarra Valley Grammar’s VCE achievements also include:

  • Percentage of study scores of 40 or more (22.4 per cent)
  • The median study score was 35
  • There were four perfect scores of 50
  • Over 49 per cent of all students in the year level received an ATAR over 90 (81 students). The state average is 9 per cent.
  • The median ATAR was 89.50, meaning that almost half the students in the cohort received an ATAR of 90-plus, meaning they scored in the top 10 per cent in the state and this is the highest in the school’s history.
  • The Dux of the school achieved an ATAR of 99.90.
