Trinity Grammar School has launched a new website to support parents who are raising children and looking for guidance, with a particular focus on boys.
The platform, titled ‘Growing Good Men’ is available for any parent to seek advice with articles that focus on topics like anxiety, developmental support, navigating the world of technology, and more.
When it comes to seeking advice about their children, parents have an impossible task to filter through all the resources available, particularly online.
“Raising children doesn’t start the moment a child comes to school,” says Mr Tim Bowden, Headmaster at Trinity Grammar School.
“But, once they come to school, they are partnering with teachers and support teams when tricky situations arise. We recognised that parents seek a trusted source to turn to when they’re not sure how to navigate a challenging situation, whether their child has started school or not.”
The Growing Good Men resource is not intended to be a substitute for professional advice, rather it’s a starting point to help parents know how to take the next step, directing them to where they can find more information or suggesting a sphere of health professionals.
In line with Trinity’s mission and ethos, the Growing Good Men platform offers up support on topics that directly correspond to developing boys in mind, body, and spirit. This includes advice on learning difficulties, developmental delays, behavioural concerns, how to foster literacy in young children, how to engage the whole family in physical activity, and how to thoughtfully consider technology in the life of younger children.
“Parenting is never simple, straightforward, or easy. Trinity parents have chosen the school as their partner in raising their sons to be trustworthy, decent, and respectful young men. With over 100 years of experience supporting the parents and boys who choose our School, we recognised the need for a platform that consolidates relevant and compassionate parenting tools designed for a rapidly evolving world.
“The Growing Good Men resource is for any parent – whether they attend Trinity or not – to benefit from the wealth of experience amongst the Trinity community,” Mr Bowden says.
