As a parent, there are a multitude of opportunities to be involved in at Lauries.

The College calendar also offers plenty of opportunities for social interaction with other Lauries parents. Expand your social circle and interact with other parents and caregivers who have the same aged children. Events include the Lauries Sunset Soiree, Lauries Sports Lunch, Lauries Gala Dinner, Mother Son events, Father Son events, Mother’s Camp, Music Trivia Nights and so much more! Participating in these events can create lasting memories and reinforce the strength of the Lauries community.

Parents can also engage in learning opportunities through events like the Parent M2L (Meeting to Learn) nights, which feature guest speakers on various topics. The sessions are designed to provide valuable insights and knowledge, helping parents stay informed and involved in their children’s education.

Parents can also join the Lauries Community Committee (LCC) who play a crucial role in assisting and supporting school leadership. Being in the LCC, you can help with various initiatives, including fundraising efforts, major College events and much more!

For parents interested in music and sports, Lauries has dedicated support groups that welcome parental involvement. These groups provide essential support for school programs and offer parents a chance to contribute to their children’s extracurricular activities. Whether it’s helping with logistics, fundraising or event planning, your involvement can make a significant difference.

Staying informed is key to being an active participant in the school community. Lauries ensures that parents are kept in the loop with good communication practices. Regular updates, newsletters, the College’s social media platforms, the College App and meetings keep parents informed about school events, policies and opportunities for involvement. This transparency helps parents stay connected and engaged with the school’s activities and initiatives.

From leadership roles and social events to learning opportunities and support groups, there are numerous ways to contribute and stay connected at Lauries!
