Make 2025 the year you make a difference – become a foster carer.

Fostering Connections is Victoria’s state-wide foster care recruitment service, calling on Victorians from all walks of life to step up and help their community by becoming foster carers.

Foster carers come from diverse backgrounds, whether single or partnered, younger or older, renting or owning a home.

Foster care is flexible. It can be for a weekend, a few months or longer, providing children and young people with a safe and supportive home when they cannot live with their families.

If you become a carer, you won’t be on this journey alone. You’ll be connected with a foster care agency in your area that will provide training and offer ongoing support.

Foster care is the temporary care of children and young people aged 0-18 who cannot live with their families. Foster care is provided by trained and accredited members of the community. The goal of foster care is to reunite children with their families when it is safe and in their best interest.

While the journey may come with its challenges, the rewards are immeasurable. Even the smallest gestures of kindness can leave a lasting, positive impact on a child or young person in your care.
