The Barker Redbacks have made history once again by winning Australia’s FRC National Competition – Duel Down Under – for the ninth time.
Held at Macquarie University in Sydney, the event brought together leading robotics teams from across the country where students could collaborate and compete showcasing their solutions.
This year’s event was especially exciting for Barker’s Year 9 students, who got their first real taste of an FRC Competition. The experience gave them a valuable introduction to the dynamics of Barker’s Senior School Robotics Program, helped them build teamwork skills, and ignited their enthusiasm for future seasons.
Throughout the weekend, students took part in thrilling matches, formed strategic alliances, and solved real-time problems —all while connecting with like-minded peers from other schools.
“Congratulations to the Redbacks on another well-deserved victory, and to the Greybacks for their strong semifinal performance! We’re proud of all our students and excited to see what lies ahead,” the college said.
