Barker College has been selected to host the prestigious Round Square International Conference, taking place from 28 September to 4 October 2026.
“This is not just an event, it’s a global celebration, a milestone in our school’s journey, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share Barker, Sydney and Australia with the world,” the college said.
The theme for the 2026 conference is “Visions for the Future from an Ancient Land”.
The 2026 conference marks Round Square’s 60th anniversary. Barker will welcome 1,200 students and staff from 270 schools across 50 countries, all united by a shared commitment to character development, student leadership, and global awareness.
Round Square supports schools in embedding Character Education and experiential learning within and beyond the curriculum, shaping the way in which students understand, prepare for and respond to the world’s challenges both now and in the future.
The 2025 Round Square International Conference was recently held in Dubai. Next year’s conference will provide a unique opportunity for the host school to share its culture and its unique Australian spirit with an international audience.
The week will feature inspiring keynote speakers, collaborative workshops, cultural showcases, service projects, and unforgettable adventures throughout Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
Students will engage in hands-on learning, forge meaningful connections, and build friendships that span continents.
