The 7th Annual Sheldon College Reel Awards was recently held at Cineplex, Victoria Point. This event showcased the considerable talents of the College’s Film Television and Media students across a diverse range of media productions. The evening showcased work created from students in Years 8 to 12 and provided students and the broader Sheldon College community with an opportunity to experience their work on one of Australia’s largest cinema screens. Student work presented on the evening were TV commercials created by Year 8, Crime Dramas from Year 9, TV genre productions from Year 10, Music Videos from Year 11 and Experimental films from Year 12 students. The final productions of the evening to be presented were the ever-popular Year 12 students’ Thriller Genre films, which again presented work of outstanding quality. As in previous years, a number of 2014 Awards were presented to following winners:

Mr Timothy Kilchester and Mr Murray James were again very proud of the hard work by the students leading up to the evening. Special thanks were also given to the evening’s two Masters of Ceremonies, Year 12 students Toby Duffy and Kate Morris, for their engaging and professional delivery.
